Music, Film, Elaborate Set Design, and Much More

Artist Pat Blake and Dave Harding of the Viking Mill building are starting something big. The pair set out to convert their 2nd floor studio space into an elaborate set design full of moving stages, spinning ceiling fixtures, black lights, and much more. The idea is to create a surreal environment, get a whole crew of musicians and stage hands together, present a loose script of how the two envision things to flow and let creativity take hold. Currently PBS cinematographer Ben Webb is lined up to film the event as well as a possible 2nd cameraman. The thinking is the more the merrier on this endeavor. A preliminary date has been set for the event to take place on the weekend of July 24 and 25. Future posts will reveal more and more of whats to come.
